For most of its history, Vastu Shastra was a building science: where to seat the hearth so the morning sun dries the air, where to sleep so the wall’s mass softens the afternoon. Vāstav reads your home the way the original authors meant it: placement by placement, with the physics shown and the texts cited.
Why this exists
Vastu is the gateway. Climate intelligence is what’s behind it.
Two habits pulled Indian homes away from their climate. First, the fear industry: the kitchen direction sold as a warning, the toilet turned into an omen, the bedroom placement dressed up as destiny. Second, the imported aspiration: glass façades from Frankfurt, Italian marble underfoot, apartments designed as if they stood in Berlin, then run on ₹25,000 a month of air-conditioning to fight the climate they ignore. Bad building wrapped in luxury vocabulary.
And this is not a normal moment. Indian cities crowd the world’s hottest-city lists. Delhi spends a third of every year with air that keeps windows shut. Mumbai floods; Bengaluru rations water. In the same residential tower, the ground floor and the top floor live in measurably different climates, and nobody tells the buyer. The spatial decisions being made right now decide whether the next fifty years here are livable.
Other cultures had to invent climate consciousness from scratch. India has a 1,500-year-old vocabulary for it. It only needs reclaiming from the fear industry and reconnecting to the building science it always was. That is the gap Vāstav is built for: a credible, culturally grounded climate-intelligence platform for residential architecture. A Pada reading is not a Vastu report with climate bolted on; it is a climate report that speaks the language you came in with, and by the last page you have learned passive cooling, cross-ventilation, thermal mass and monsoon drainage through it.

Your plan, held to the directions
We extract your real floor plan (walls, rooms, entrance) and hold it to true north. Every reading that follows is about your geometry, not a generic diagram.
The 81-pada mandala
The Vastu Purusha Mandala is laid over the plan: nine quarters around the open centre, each with its governing devata, read against where your rooms actually sit.
A rule engine produces every score
Placements, entrance padas, plot shape, doshas: each is a written rule with a fixed score impact, applied deterministically. AI writes the prose of your report; it is never allowed to move a score or invent an association.
The sun and your climate zone
Your location resolves to its NBC 2016 climate zone. Each face of the home is read against its real solar load (the kind morning light of the east, the afternoon heat the south-west must absorb) and the advice changes with the climate you actually live in.
The texts, cited in place
Readings carry their classical sources (Brihat Samhita, Mayamatam, Manasara and others) with the verse shown where the claim is made. Tradition is presented as tradition; building physics as fact; each labeled as which.

What we refuse to do
- No fear. We never predict illness, loss, or misfortune. Software that frightens you about your own home is not advice; it is a sales tactic.
- No trinkets sold as fixes. Every drawback we surface pairs with a real, usually low-cost action (placement, use, light, ventilation), not an object to purchase.
- No invented authority.If a claim comes from a text, we show the text. If it comes from physics, we show the physics. If we can’t stand it on either, it isn’t in your report.
- No moved scores.The number you get is the rule engine’s, reproducibly. Nobody, human or AI, adjusts it to sell you an upgrade.
